Praha, 14. září 2016 – Projekt Chrise Cornera IAMX se v Česku těší velké oblibě a zdá se, že to platí oboustranně. S vydáním mini alba Everything Is Burning IAMX chystá turné, během kterého se zastaví dvakrát v Praze – 6. a 8. 11. 2016 v komorním prostředí Rock Café. Vstupenky budou k dostání za 650 Kč od 16. září v 10 hodin na fource.cz, GoOut.cz a v síti Ticketpro.
„IAMX je vlastně taková moje veřejná terapie,“ říká britský hudebník Chris Corner. „Je to způsob, jak se spojit se světem, vylít si srdce a tančit zároveň. Je to záminka k tomu, abych si hrál s tím, kdo vlastně jsem a objevoval části své osobnosti, které normálně nevidím.“ Poslední mini album Everything Is Burning se skládá ze sedmi nových skladeb s intimními texty a produkcí.
V druhé části pak najdeme remixy známých skladeb z alba Metanoia od Gary Numana, Future Funk Squad, Marat Sad nebo Christiana Eignera z Depeche Mode, které přinášejí nečekaný zvuk. Své umělecké obrození Corner shrnuje: „Uvědomil jsem si, že hudba byla tím, co mě ničilo. Musel jsem změnit sám sebe, svůj přístup k věcem a i díky tomu mi bylo jasné, že hudbu chci dělat víc než kdy dřív.“ Metanoia a Everything Is Burning (Metanoia Addendum) je jen počátek tohoto znovuzrození.

Prague, September 14th 2016 – Chris Corner’s project IAMX is popular in Czech and it seems like the band loves it here, too. No surprise they are coming back with their new mini album Everything Is Burning. And not only for one show but two. Both will take place at intimate Rock Cafe in Prague – on November 6th and 8th 2016. Tickets will be available for 650 czk from September 16th at 10 am via fource.cz, GoOut.cz and Ticketpro.
IAMX is basically my public therapy,“ says Chris Corner. „It’s my way of being able to connect with the world, to pour my heart out and dance at the same time. It’s also an excuse for me to play with who I am, to explore certain parts of my personality that I don’t get to explore in everyday life.“ On Part One of latest album Everything Is Burning (Metanoia Addendum), the seven wonderful new song titles and lyrics, could be found.
On Part Two, the remixes by Gary Numan, Future Funk Squad, Marat Sad or Depeche Mode’s Christian Eigner and his partner Niko Stoessl are twisting well known songs from Metanoia to new forms and new unexpected sounds. Summarising his awakening and subsequent creative outburst, Corner says, “I realised that it wasn’t the music that was hurting me, it was just that I had to reprogram myself to approach things in a different way, and it became very clear to me that I still wanted to make music more than ever.“ Metanoia and Everything Is Burning (Metanoia Addendum), are just the beginning of that reborn desire.
