Nový album Mira Žbirku Posledné veci za otca dokončil a do života uviedol David Žbirka - GREGI.NET

Nový album Mira Žbirku – Posledné veci, ktorý uzatvára jeho viac ako päťdesiatročnú autorskú cestu vychádza práve dnes na CD vo vydavateľstve Universal Music. Je na ňom dvanásť nových autorských piesní Mira Žbirku, ktoré napísal v priebehu posledných dvoch rokov a naspieval krátko pred svojim odchodom. Štyri z nich sú zhudobnenými textami básnikov Joža Urbana, Václava Hrabě a Daniela Heviera. Krátka báseň Posledné veci z Hevierovej rannej zbierky poézie Vták pije z koľaje (1977), dala názov celému albumu.

V rádiách z neho úspešne boduje duet otca so synom v skladbe Nejsi sám. David Žbirka bol Mekym poverený dokončením a produkciou albumu. Spolu s anglickým producentom Patrickom Jamesom Fitzroyom ho nahrali v londýnskom štúdiu KONK, ktoré sídli v londýnskej štvrti Musswell Hill, odkiaľ pochádzala Mekyho mama a patrí lídrovi Mekyho obľúbenej skupiny The Kinks, Rayovi Daviesovi. Na aranžovaní sa okrem Patricka s Davidom podieľali aj Oliver Torr (Posledné veci, Ríša snov) a Petr Marek zo skupiny MIDI LIDI(Len sa neuraz). V jednotlivých skladbách albumu sa objavujú aj ďalší hudobníci: Maximillian Kinghorn-Mills, Axel Øksby (basgitara), Tom Andrews (piano), Petr Marek (gitara), Oliver Torr (synths & programming), Steve Goddard (gitara), Jamie Hanson (basgitara), Honza Horáček (synth), Jamie Staples (bicie),

Sam Bedford (gitara) a sláčikový orchester sCore Orchestra s dirigentkou Michaelou Rózsa Růžičkovou, v aranžmánoch Daniela Wunscha a Patricka Jamesa Fitzroya. O mastering albumu sa v londýnskom Abbey Road postaral Christian Wright. Na obale albumu je fotka Mekyho priateľa a úspešného slovenského fotografa Petra Župníka, ktorú graficky spracoval Jiří Troskov.

Album Posledné veci uviedli do života 18.5.2022 v pražskej galérii Lucerna za účasti autorov obalu, básnika Daniela Heviera a ďalších významných hostí, krstná mama Katarína Knechtová a producenti albumu David Žbirka a Patrick James Fitzroy.

Vydanie albumu Posledné veci na LP je naplánované na jeseň 2022, v čase keď budú vrcholiť tohtoročné oslavy nedožitej sedemdesiatky československej hudobnej legendy veľkými koncertami Tribute to Miro Žbirka 70 v Bratislave (17.10.2022 – NTC Aréna), v Prahe (21.10.2022 – O2 Universum a v Londýne (24.9.2022 – 229 Venue). Nezištnú účasť na spomienkových koncertoch už potvrdili: David Koller, Katarína Knechtová, Michal Hrůza, Jana Kirschner, Adam Ďurica, Peter Nagy, Lenny, Slza, Jiří Macháček, Marta Jandová, Peter Bič Project, Martha a ďalší, zatiaľ nezverejnení umelci..
